Crystallisation is an important area of study due to its relevance in a wide variety of fields including pharmaceutical science, food science, design of functional materials etc. In all these applications, understanding the physical basis of crystallisation and consequently design strategies to control the crystallisation in a favorable way is an important challenge.

In this group, the focus lies on the following subjects:

  • Evaporating Droplets of Salt Solutions
  • Freezing Droplets
  • Crystallisation in Confinement and Crystallisations Pressure
  • Ice Crystallisation
  • Crystallisation with Additives and Surfactants
  • Salt Purification Process
  • Salt Creeping
