Title: Semiflexible Polymers under External Fields

Speaker: Antonio Lamura, CNR, Bari, Italy

Abstract:

The non-equilibrium structural and dynamical properties of semiflexible polymers confined to two dimensions are investigated by Brownian multi-particle collision dynamics. Different scenarios will be considered: tethered polymers subject to an external force, chains under steady shear flow [1], and filaments with either both [2] or one fixed end [3] under oscillatory shear flow. The results of the numerical studies will be presented and discussed.
